Experimental Lecture – Eleonoren School
December 05, 2024
In December 05, 2024, Eleonoren School visited the high voltage laboratory in Griesheim for an experimental lecture. Various fun experiments from the fields of high voltage and high current technology were demonstrated to the students. Through these experiments, the students were given small insights into important physical relationships between current, voltage, electric and magnetic fields. Among other things, the following topics were covered: – The principle of Faraday's cage – The force between two repelling magnetic fields – The relationship between alternating currents and magnetic fields – The effects of high electric fields and field strengths

Meeting of the global energy industry
The CIGRE Paris Session 2024, which took place from August 25 to 30, 2024 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, is one of the world's most important events in the energy sector. The conference brings together leading experts, engineers and decision-makers to discuss current topics and innovations in power supply and energy technology. Participants can look forward to exciting technical presentations, interactive discussions and a comprehensive exhibition on the latest technologies. The conference offers a unique opportunity to analyze global trends and develop sustainable solutions for the challenges of the energy transition. All this in a professional exchange with numerous international experts from all over the world! Tobias Müller has worked on a paper together with HAEFELY AG, one of the world's leading suppliers of high-voltage testing and measurement technology. The paper “Requirements for onsite test systems for the after-installation test of HVDC cable systems” was presented as part of the poster session at the CIGRE Paris Session 2024.
