Single-pole model-vacuum circuitbreaker with drive and UHV pumping system
- UltraHighVacuum (UHV) test chamber, mainly consisting of commercial CF components with flat copper gaskets
- Non-destructive opening of the switch contacts for investigations on switching arcs up to 35 kA rms.
- Simple exchange of switch contacts (RMF and AMF)
- Angle arms with mirrors for recording the arc from two sides with a high-speed camera
- Hall sensor based measuring system for recording the magnetic field in the contact gap
- 2-stage pumping system consisting of scroll-pump and turbo molecular pump
- Final pressure level: 1E-8 mbar
- Pressure measurement: full-range measuring gauge from 1E-9 mbar to 1013 mbar
- Chamber volume: 12 liters
