GIS expert conference – 06th of october 2020

GIS Expert conference takes place digitally on 6st of October 2020.

The expert conference will be organized on 6th of octoober with Zoom / Zoom-Webinar. Nevertheless direct personal exchange as well as discussions are still main focus of our conference.

All conference contributions take place during the usual time slots. The known break times remain as well. During break times there will be breakout rooms available for direct discussions in small groups.

Each participant will be forwarded a personal Login-link with password protection about one month prior to the conference. A guidence manual can be found under "Manuals ".

In the week before the conference there will be an opportunity for all participants to test the audio settings and the program. For this you can carry out a test dial-in, during which we are ready for you:

During presentation questions can be asked via chat or Q&A function. Our conference management will bundle up all questions during discussion times. By raising your hand digitally you might discuss questions directly with the presenters as well via video chat.

It is also possible to chat directly with other participants and get in touch personally.

The video conference tool Zoom is currently used at the Technical University of Darmstadt and has been licensed separately for this purpose. A separate data protection agreement was concluded with Zoom for this purpose (see Section 2). In addition, the security settings in the web conference tool are already preconfigured by the IT administration. Saving the chat history is also prevented, and the event is not recorded.
